CLAT 2023 Question Paper

Although the exam hasn’t yet been conducted, we can make some educated guesses. The likelihood of these rumours coming true is quite strong. These assumptions are based on a thorough understanding of the CLAT exam pattern and examining the question paper from the previous year. Here are section-wise details of what each section of the CLAT 2023 question paper would look like. The CLAT 2023 question paper will comprise 5 sections.

English Language

English Language

This section will have 5–6 paragraphs, each between 200–400 words long. The difficulty level of these would be according to 12th graders. Candidates can readily read each passage in 5–6 minutes. The sections will ask you to summarise, interpret, infer, grasp the basic ideas, etc. Sentence Sequence Arrangement, Phrase Replacement, Synonyms & Antonyms, Tenses, Spotting Errors, Fill in the Blanks, and Active and Passive Voice are some topics from which questions may be drawn.

 Current Affairs, including General Knowledge

There will be about 450 words in each passage. There will be approximately 7 passages for you to read and understand in this section. This section will contain questions about politics, sports, notable figures, awards, prizes, and current events, among other topics. National and international affairs, government initiatives, science and technology, summits and conferences, foreign policy, arts and culture, honours and awards, sports, and science and technology are subjects that questions could cover.

Legal Reasoning

The 450-word readings in the legal reasoning part will be of a grade 12 level of difficulty. The exam will evaluate the candidates’ predisposition to studying law. Passages will present either static or recent legal news. You might be asked questions on legal GK, current events, international treaties, court rulings, and other legal-related issues.

Logical Reasoning

This section will consist of 6 passages and 5 follow-up questions. There will be about 450 words in each passage. The candidates’ verbal reasoning abilities are evaluated in this section. There will be a focus on syllogisms, directions, puzzles, cause and effect, clocks and calendars, logical sequencing, etc.

Quantitative Techniques

This section will evaluate the candidates’ quantitative aptitude. It would help if you used simple mathematical operations to answer the questions in this section. To complete the section, you must review your knowledge from the tenth grade. In addition, it is crucial to understand themes in elementary mathematics such as algebra, profit and loss, measurement, speed and distance, and work and time. Most questions will concern bar graphs, charts, and other graphical displays.
