Urdhva Padmasana is a special yoga posture, which develops both strength and intelligence in the body of the practitioner. Steps to do Inverted Lotus Pose:
If you are going to practice Inverted Lotus Pose for the first time, then the following steps may help you to make this yoga pose –
1 – First of all, lay a mat on flat ground and lie on your back on it.
2 – Now take a deep breath and start lifting the legs and come in Halasana posture
3 – Now keep the elbows of both hands on the ground and hold the waist with the hand.
4 – Keeping the balance, move the hips as high as possible and then support with the hands
5 – Now straighten the legs upwards and bend both legs (like it is done in Padmasana)

Precautions:
Inverted Lotus Pose practice is usually done under the supervision of a yoga instructor and during this, it is necessary to take the following precautions –
- Stretch the neck muscles before starting yoga
- Do not do yoga immediately after eating food
- pull the leg according to the capacity
- do not force any action
- In case of pain in any joint, stop the action immediately.

There are certain health conditions during which a doctor’s permission should be taken before practicing Urdhva Padmasana –
- Pain or injury to any part of the body that is severe
- Respiratory or cardiovascular disease
- Tightness in body
- Pregnancy or menstruation
- Disability or old age
